Starting Again
When the Taliban regained control of Afghanistan in 2021, Nazanin was forced to leave her home and start again.
In Italy, she found support through Pangea, an NGO helping refugee women rebuild their lives through language classes, training programmes and community support.
For Nazanin, cooking became both comfort and connection.
The photographs follow her as she builds a new life through food, culture and the determination to start again.
