Growing up in Kolkata, Utsav Kheria was surrounded by books, puzzles and learning games. His parents laid the foundations for an education that would eventually lead him to the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad.

But he knew that millions of children in India never get the same start.

So he co-founded Rocket Learning, a nonprofit focused on improving early childhood education for children in low-income communities.

Working with local childcare centres known as anganwadis, the programme combines technology, teacher training and parental involvement to support early learning. Parents receive simple activities via WhatsApp that they can do with their children at home, turning everyday moments into opportunities to learn.

The result is a growing network of teachers, parents and young learners building stronger educational foundations together.
